Sweety grew up in the wilds of Northern California and moved to NYC in the mid 90s. After finishing college and working for the likes of Blue Man Group and DC Comics he came to the realization that making tattoos is what he really wanted to do. That dream became a reality in 2006 and he spent the next 18 years working in shops in New York City, most recently at The New Moon Studio. In 2023 he and partner Zoe Bean decided to open a private studio in South Orange, the town where they live. Sweety loves to make traditional style tattoos, drawing inspiration from the tattoo masters of the past as well as old skateboard graphics and victorian illustrations. Like many of the old tattoo masters Sweety has become very adept at many other styles of tattooing as well, including script, portraits, and illustrative designs.
